Sparkly dots

Good morning everyone, I hope everyone is still enjoying their weekend. I am sharing a card which I made yesterday night.

It is a very simple looking card, I chose a textured white glitter card base, and firstly, I started with printing the sentiment, and after that I doodled a wine glass with a light hand, and added the tiny rhinestones, that's it. It took sometime to add the rhinestones, but that is it nothing much is done on this card, I am very satisfied with the look, I hope you all like it too.

Good Mood

Hello everyone, sharing a quick card. This card took more thinking than making, I threw 2 cards away, which I never do! and thrashed few ideas and finally came up with this. The only thing which  stayed with me throughout the process was the Green lettered word "LUNCH" ;)
Here is the card, its too simple looking but certainly one of the hardest when I sat to down to execute.

A close up at the wood grain tape!

I started with a printing the first 2 lines, I came up with these 2 lines, after discarding all the ideas.
Then I stamped the sketched letters from Hero Arts for "lunch", I prefer vegetarian food, so do most of my friends, so chose green color to stamp it , and added this tape(to represent a table), which I got it from a hardware store years back to fix my wooden floor, just in case. Never used on the floor yet, but here I am using it for a card..lol......That's it nothing much is added to enhance the looks of the card.
It is a simple card for a friend to ask her out for lunch.

A multi-color bloom

Hello! sharing a card which I made yesterday, I made it for the following challenge:

I am inspired by the tiled color palette here, but I didn't use it anything like it looks here, instead I put my own spin to it and used on this flower, this flower digi is a free digi from The Alley Ways Stamps.

When I saw the flower, I knew right away that I wanted to use it with the color palette here, the sentiment "bloom" is also a freebie from the same set.
I just used textured red base card, and printed the digi, and colored it using different types of markers in different colors from the palette in the picture. I colored like a child, without bothering to give any shading, but just has to stay within the lines. I also added a tiny sentiment from Kaisercraft, and a twine to finish off.
My daughter was pretty impressed with my coloring, she said, "It looks like you printed the flower, did you?"...I said,"Really, you think so?", She said, "It's a compliment Mama, that's how real the coloring looks".  You can tell, I was pretty happy with her remark :D

.

Forgot to mention that, I used my gel pen to give color in the "o's" .

Paper weaving

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing a tutorial.
I am showing a paper weaving technique, its pretty simple.
I am showing two different types of weaves here, a plain weave and a basket weave.

For plain weaving:

You will need paper strips of two different colors, the length and width you can choose according to your project, there isn't any specific measure for this, but has to be same for both colors.

Step by step:

1. Line up the strips on your work-board, and secure with a scotch tape at one end, we are working on the reverse side of the weaved pattern, the front is facing down, so don't worry about messing it up ;)

2. lift 2 alternating strips

3. Slip in the other color strip here.

4. This time take another set of alternating strip, the one next to the previous one, and slip in the other color strip.

5. Continue till you reach your desired length of the weave, and once done, trim the excess trips and keep about 1/2" strip, so that we can secure it.

6. Secure the ones, which you can fold in first, you can use a double sided tape, or a glue stick to do this.

7. Lift the left over strips and apply the adhesive to secure it in.

8. Once you are done, turn over the weaved pattern, this is your front, trim the excess strips.

9. Done your pattern is ready to be used for your project.

Here is a card I made using a plain weave.
--------------------------------------------------

Basket weave

You will need paper strips of different width here, one is wider than the other, but same color strips.

1. Secure the wider strips to the board with a scotch tape.

2. Follow the weaving procedure we did earlier for the plain strips.

3. The second strip need to be bit far away from the first one, to give a basket weave look, I would say at least 1/2 - 3/4" away from each strip.

4. Finish up the length of your weave

5. Secure in the same way we secure the previous strip, but here I don't secure the wider strip ends, I adjust it with my project and secure it. I mostly make cards, so the length differs from card to card.

Eye Candy

This card is another kind of weave, totally different from what I showed just now....will add a tutorial if anyone is interested.

I hope you have enjoyed this T time, and I really hope I had inspired at least one person with this tutorial. I look forward to your comments!

Cas Cards

Hello everyone, a quick share of 2 CAS cards.

The first one up is a super simple card, I chose a white base, and added a cat and paws from handmade stickers from Essentaile, ans stamped the sentiment from Kaisercraft. I didn't feel like adding anything else here, as I said it is a super simple card.

I thinks pets are very popular with kids, so chose a cat to do the card here.
 Childrens card

--------------------------------------------------------------------
The second up is also simple looking, but bit more work involved in the making of it.
I started with a white base. and the front is also white, I inked an embossing folder with shades of orange ink, and sprayed with mist and lightly pressed the card stock against it, as a result, I got a very lightly faded background for my front panel, I am happy how the colors look here.
I mounted it against an orange card stock, added a colored paper strip. I also added a die cut butterfly, I went in to ink with many inks here, such as orange, green, blue even though all are blended in well and doesn't show much on the card.

Stamped the sentiment from STAMPlorations - trendy feathers.

I have created a thank you card.

Little Tangles
I don't own any little tangles stamps yet, so adding it just with the "Thank you"  theme for the challenge.

A card which Jingles!

Hello blogger friends, its a busy start to my week here, after spending the morning in preparing my study notes, and lunch, I sat down to make a card in the afternoon.

Its a very well thought card, it was sitting in my head for a couple of days, before I sat down to execute. For this card I chose white base, and added a red wood-grain pattern paper, and the front is again finished with a white. I cut out circles on the red and white panels. I had used a daisy punch to make a wreath, I was torn in between heat embossing and glitter use....Glitter won over embossing. I used a double sided tape on a card stock and punched the daisies, and sprinkled the glitter, so it is not going to fall off or spread around. I love this technique to add glitter to my cards.
I chose a retro themed circle die cut, and added a glitter star on it, I cut the star myself, don't any die yet, A ribbon is tied in double bow, and also a real bell, which jingles, a few sequins to finish off, and finally stamped the sentiment from Kaisercraft.
It took me a while to make this card, even though it looks pretty simple, but it was sure a time consuming card. I hope you all like it!

A flower basket

Hello everyone! I hope the weekend has kick started on a good note for everyone.
I spent the morning in a mall, to buy a formal suit for my 14 year old son, who will be performing for his school's music band soon. From buying baby clothes and toys to formal suits , - we have indeed come a long way in just a couple of years! I am very happy today, just by looking at him :D

I am sharing a card which I started a couple of days back, and I was kind of stuck with it, so left it unfinished for these many days. Yesterday I finally came around and finished it. I don't know if it happens to anyone, but I have few cards in my stash, on which I get stuck half way, and go back finish them later. Thankfully, it doesn't happen a lot!

I started it as a one layer card, I drew the basket - my freehand doodling, including the handle, and then I added the sunflowers in brown, these flowers are from my custom made stamps. Then I went on to color the sunflower and the basket, I tried my best to color it to give a realistic look, and I think I had some success with it ;)
I was stuck here, and left it like that for many days.
I decided to add the sentiment on vellum and heat embossed it. This sentiment is from Kaisercraft, and I also added a bow to the basket handle.
Its a simple card, hope you like it.
