Happy New Year

Hey all, today is new years eve, and I hope all are having a fun time. This year seems to have passed by so fast.

I wish all of you a happy and healthy new year 2016.

I am up with 2 cards, both very simple one layer cards.

The first one up is made using HLS stamps - mix mash, I used all blue shades from Stamping up and stamped around the circles randomly and the sentiment is from Kaisercraft.

The second one is also a simple one, I had used Mama Elephant freestyle blooms to sttamp, I masked to stamp the flowers around, and I had colored only one flower using shades of purple markers. Kaisercraft sentiment to wind it up...no embellishments on both cards.

Back after a long break

Hey all, hope you all are having fun over the holidays. I was away to Thailand for over a week, and got back, and taking a bit of time to get back in routine. The kiddos are still home till next Monday, and my helper is away till then, so busy with house work....or I should say busy asking the kiddos to chip in their own share in the housework...teenagers can work LOL....and poor fellows both are doing their fair share....so a happy mommy.

Ok I made a one layer card, felt the need to sponge the sky...maybe after spending time under the sun, and looking at the sky all the time...subconsciously had to do this. I masked and sponged the kites using a red pigment ink, and doodled the string using a black marker. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft.

Gues Designer - STAMPloration December Challenge

Hi friends, today I am excited to be a guest designer at STAMPlorations December Challenge.
I have chosen this months sketch to make my card. You can choose the theme as well, do join in, its a fun challenge.

For my card, I chose STAMPLorations Art is...and Trendy feather sets.
I started with water coloring the front panel, I added 2 shades of yellow, green and orange to the paper, and sprayed some mist, and kept it aside for a while.

Then I used the Art is ..set to stamp on it,  added a washi strip to the side edge, and added the die cut and inked vellum flower and leaves. I stamped the sentiment from trendy feathers on  a red strip, and used foam adhesive to add it. A few rhine stones to finish off.

work in progress: 1. water colors on the paper with the sprayed mist.
 2. Die cut and inked vellum flowers and leaves.
3.Stamping the Art is..and adding the washi..

Do drop by the challenge blog to see the challenge, and the amazing DT inspiration.

Another water color card

Hello all, I am up with another water color card, made it yesterday evening. I chose 4 different shaes of blue here and used a brush to dab the colors, and then sprayed some mist and let it run, and left for drying. After that I used Art is stamp from STAMPlorations to stamp, and used a stencil to sponge the flower and leaves image. I bought this stencil in India.
I used HLS - mix mash stamps to stamp around the circles and chevrons in black and white ink, randomly, finally stamping the sentiment from HLS. Used foam adhesive to add the water colored panel.

Water colored rainbow

Another quick card, this card also has water-coloring, I am up for it nowadays. I used the rainbow colors in a stroke and sprayed some mist, and let those run a bit, and left out to dry. Then I used the ART is stamps from STAMPlorations to stamp on the rainbow panel using a red ink. I then used the Waffle Flower - lotus and dragonflies to stamp in white pigment ink. The sentiment is from Waffle Flower as well.
I added a washi tape to the base and used foam adhesive to add the rainbow panel to the card.

Another take with bandhini design

Here is another take with the design. This time I have used a red base, and inked up the bottom in black and used the HLS - mix mash stamp to stamp in white and black inks. The mug is from DeeDee digis, I colored it in red using markers, and the sentiment is a rubber stamp, I purchased locally at a stationary store here.

This is how the pattern looks, it is very popular in India.

Bandhini Saree background

Hey all, a quick share. I made this card yesterday. This is my second card where I am trying the bandhini background. I had used water color paper here. I used a gold mist spray, and a turquoise mist spray, used a cling wrap to spray and pressed the water color paper against it. The paper has a nice finish with the shimmer from the gold spray.
Then I used HLS  - mix mash to stamp around in white pigment ink and peacock feather DI, the sentiment and the mug are from DeeDee digis, I won these images last month. I had colored the mug with markers and fuzzy cut it to add.

 A look at the shimmer.

Stamping a flower with circle stamps

Hey all another post from me, this is a quick One layer card. The idea hit me from nowhere to use the HLS stamps from the mix mash set to stamp a flower, and sat down to make this quick card. I chose just the outline and filled circle stamps for this and used only red and black inks to stamp, and finished off with the sentiment from the same set.
