Splashed background

Hey all a new week, and a special one for us, the kiddos will start school tomorrow onwards, it is difficult to say who is more happy, whether the kiddos or me ;)

I made a card yesterday night and sharing it now, it is almost one layer but it is not except for the flower.
I chose a white base and used a Fired Brick distress ink spray and created a splashed background by spraying randomly, I added some gold embossing powder and heat embossed some parts to add some shimmer and interest to the background. I then stamped the leaves from Mama elephant - freestyle florals and colored using some water color pencils, and I stamped a flower from the same set on a pattern paper and fuzzy cut it to add on the top, I finished off with with a golden string, and few sequins, the sentiment is from Uniko Studio. I hope you all like it, I love it.

A look at the shimmer.

Watercolored background with a floral front

Another quick share, this is also a one layer card. I started with some swooshing of stormy sky distress ink on a acrylick block nd sprayed it with some water and swooshed it on the card. After it was dried, I heat embossed in gold some hiedi swapp's mixed media stamps. Then I stamped some flowers and leaves from the Paper Smooches - botaniclas 3. The sentiment is from Uniko studio.

Stenciled butterfly

Hey all a quick share, it is a simple one layer card. I picked up some stencils when I was in India, and used one this card, I sponged it with a blue pigment ink, and later ran a glitter gel pen to give an outline. I drew some small circles using a darker blue pen on the wings. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant - Water Blooms. A few matching blue rhine stones to finish off.

Nautical stripes

Hey all, happy Friday! The weekend has kicked in, and just this weekend to go before the new school year begins. The kiddos will be off to school after more than 2 months :)

I made a card yesterday morning, my blogging time is bit off nowadays, I am hoping it will be back next week on wards.
It is a simple One layer card, I used the twine stamping technique again....this was the technique I was experimenting before I left for the summer break, and I am still clinging on to it.....I used a double sided tape on a left over card stock, and added the strings in lines, and stamped it giving out some space, in smoky sky DI. The sentiment is from STAMPlorations - trendy butterflies.
Few sequins to finish of this super simple card.

Fabric type pattern paper

Hey all, a very quick share.

I have used a pattern paper here, I had this paper in my stash for a couple of years, and finally found use for it today, I love that it mimics a fabric look.

I finished it off with a few rhine stones, a gift, and the sentiment is from Uniko studio.

Hope you all like this simple creation!

Just purple

Good day everyone! I am back with a card today, this was made 2 days back.
I made it for a friend's birthday, she loves purple, so purple is the dominating color here today.
While I was on Holiday, a delivery came in from Paper Smooches, and I thought of using it right away! I had used the Botanical 3 set here. Just chose few flowers and leaves, and stamped randomly around the card. I stamped the twigs as per the sketch requirements, and added a foam adhesive to lift up the flowers at top. The sentiment is from Uniko Studio, and I added a shaded purple twine to the very top.

Back after 2 months!

Hey everyone, I am back to my card making and blogging after 2 long months. It has been a busy 2 months, went in for an unexpected minor surgery, right at the beginning of my holidays, and then the college and studies were going on so rigorously that I didn't have much time to look at the blog as well. Finally, I am done with all my exams, and the wait for the results has began already ;)

I am a bit all over the place, running errands for groceries, stationary, and school uniforms for the soon to be starting school year for kiddos, but was able to sit and make a card yesterday night. Nothing fancy, made 2 simple ones, I think I am all rusted, need to get my mojo back slowly.

The first one up is a very simple one layer card, with a single stamp, and few rhine stones, with a gentle touch of some blue pigment ink. I don't know the stamp company name, but I do know that it is a very old stamp.

I had absolutely missed playing here for the last few weeks, glad am able to join this week!

Playing with a simple stamp, I think Bingo is perfect to interpret this weeks cue.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The second one is also almost one layer, but a paper strip is added. I started with masking the card diagonally, and I chose the chevrons from Kaisercraft and stamped diagonally in a panel, and added a strip of pattern paper to give a border, I used distress inks for my stamping, crushed olives, riped permisson.....gosh can't recall the names of the other two inks ;) I really need to sit and craft everyday.....this is bad, I even forgot the names of the inks!!
I added some splatters using the same inks, and a few rhine stones, the sentiment is from Uniko studio - Simply said birthdays.
