It is a one layer card, and I used the 4 from HLS - Big Bold Numbers, and the sentiment from HLS - Mix Mash set. I stenciled the starts using ARTplorations stars stencil, I chose only the small stars here, and done with few gold jewels. A very simple card.

A paper pieced bouquet

Hello all, another quick share. This card was made this morning. It is a one layer card, I guess I can call that since other than the papers for the paper piecing, I haven't added any other layers to it.

I have the bouquet from the Avery Elle, and it is completely paper pieced using a spring collection pp, but for the leaves, I colored the leaves, and the stems. Then I used the bubble stencil from ARTplorations in green to add some ink around. The sentiment is from ME- water blooms, and a few jewels to finish off.

Kraft, stamps, and coloring

Hey all,  a quick share. It is once again that I wanted to try out the solid stamping followed by coloring so another experiment here. I used kraft base and use Paper Smooches - botanicals to stamp, different shades for the flowers and green for the leaves, once the stamping was done, I used color pencils to add more shades and color to the stamps. I diecut using a die from PS, and used the negative here as my base.
The sentiment is also from PS, and Heat embossed in gold, and layered with some a left over strip from acrylic block stamping, and an acetate on the top, holding with a pin. Added the kraft front to a pale green base.

2 flower cards

Hello all, happy weekend to all. I thought of sharing 2 cards, I made these yesterday. Both are floral cards, off lately I am into flowers, maybe its the summer that is making me see all the beautiful colors around! But I am loving it.
The first one is a one layer card, I had used MFT - beautiful blooms, the colors are inspired by MFT color Challenge. I decided to just stamp without any masking, in my opinion, it goes well since I stamped as a bouquet. Next time I would try this with some bright colors, but I am loving these soft shades as well. I used PS - botanical for the tiny blooms, and the sentiment is from HLS and Uniko. I added jewels to flower center, and a white floss to finish off, YES the floss is on grab nowadays, I think I have used it on most cards I made recently.

The second one is also close to one layer but for the fussy cut lotus. I stamped the lotus from Waffle Flower in worn lipstick and water colored it before fussy cutting it.
Added this with a foam adhesive, and stamped a dragonfly, and thanks from Waffle flower, and the bold beautiful from Uniko.
The base is lightly inked using blue, and yellow shades of ink. A few jewels and a twine to finish off.

A thank you and a baby card

Hello peeps, I am up with 2 more cards today, both were made yesterday. Both are almost one layer.

For the first one,I did masking, and stamping using Altenew Vintage roses. I have used shades of red and a brown shade to stamp the roses and 2 shades of green for the leaves.
The sentiment is from Waffle flower - lotus set, I embossed one part of the sentiment in gold, used foam adhesive to add, and stamped the rest on the base. Finished off with a white floss, and some scattered jewels. I love the vibrant roses here, hope you do too.

Inspired by a few challenges

Hello all, I hope everyone is doing great. Our end final have started today. My daughter has exams all days, but my son has only 2 exams since high school is semester based. He will write tomorrow and Monday. We will be done on Tuesday and a break on Wednesday, and Thursday will be report cards, and we are done for the year.

I am up with a card which I made inspired by Tracey's card at the Muse.

I started with a water color panel, and used the stamps from MFT - beautiful blooms, it is a 2 step stamping. I heat embossed the first step using white embossing powder, and then used ink to stamp the second layer. Used splatters using pink raspberry ink. The sentiment is also from the same set. I used a left over piece from smooching to frame the front.
I used the colors from JUGS.

Texture, die cuts, and fussy cuts

Hello my second post, I thought of sharing this card while I have some time my hand.
My son is home today, well we told him to not go to school, as his grade was going to the beach today, and it is extremely hot and humid...and it gets worse by the beach, so I told him to stay home, he couldn't believe it...lol...REALLY? This is what he asked to confirm.

Off lately I am very grateful for the comfortable life I have, I sit in an air-conditioned house, and I should not be complaining about heat. We have a lot of construction going around our neighborhood, and see the workers working in the scorching heat, so I have no right to complain, but be grateful.
But there is a big plus point, I get to witness beautiful and spectacular sunsets nowadays, you all might already know that I am sucker for sunsets :)

Anyways, here is another card which is based on the same color theme I am into, I feel good and refreshed looking at these colors.
I used a textured base card, and masked and inked the panel using a green shade of DI, and then I used the leaves from the Altenew Peony to stamp in a darker shade, and arranged the fussy cut peonies and added a die cut from spellbinders, and a few sequins to finish off.

Leaving you all with some beautiful pictures of my view nowadays.

This one is from today morning, actually it is still very beautiful to look out, but I bet it is super duper hot!!

This one was yesterday's sunset, my Facebook is getting bombarded everyday with my sunset pictures ;)

This one is from Monday evening, you can see the reflection on the inside window sill as well.
Well I am loving the evenings nowadays.

Faux bleaching

Hey all, I am up with a card which I made using the faux bleaching technique.

It is inspired by Lemon Tea also, so the colors theme is matched with that.

I started with Stamping and heat embossing the shrubs from Lawn Fawn, I used clear EP here, followed by masking and inking the panel with 2 shades of distresss inks, citron and lemonade shades. Then I cover the panel with a paper and ironed it , so that the embossing comes off to reveal the faux bleach effect, this is my first try and I would call it a success, as I managed to get off the embossing completely.
The cup is drew by me on a water color paper, I also did some stamping using the Altenew vintage roses, and fussy cut it to add. The sentiment is from the same set from Lawn fawn.
I think it is an ok card ;)
