Sequins stitched heart

Happy Friday everyone! Our break starts tomorrow onwards for a week to celebrate the Chinese New Year! darling daughter is done with her exams and my son is writing his last exam of the semester, so kiddos are surely relieved. High school brings in the unseen pressure of exams I guess.

I am finally revealing the published card today, as the magazine is out, and this card can now see the light on my blog.
I used velvet rose distress ink to sponge the stripes, the heart was traced using a die cut, and then pierced and stitched the pink sequins. added brown glitter paper on the white stripes, and a few pearls. the panel was framed with a shimmery maroon card base and added to the white base. That is it.
Oh yes, the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday - home is.

Every song I hear

Happy Sunday everyone. Hope all are doing great, we are in our holiday week till next Sunday. I am so glad that it is holidays.
I made this card yesterday, and the rainy weather has given the much needed time on the weekend to sit and blog.

I love this quote, the words are lovely, I made 'miss you' cards earlier, but today making a valentine card.
Its an all black and white but a pop of red here and there.
I used ScanNcut to cut the Music note, and the words are computer generated. I picked up some heart sequins the other day at the stationary, so used that, and the 'I' and 'U' are from Concord&9th - banner alpha bits set, a new set in my stash. A few jewels, and wink of stella on the word "Song', which I added some color using felt markers.
That is it, a CAS card.

Marbled background with bold flowers

Hey all, I am up with another marble card.
I have used the shaving foam with Heidi Swapp shine spray - gold here, to create the marbled background.
The flowers and leaves are from winnie&walter, so is the sentiment.
I stamped and watercolored the flowers using zig brushes, and distress inks.
The front panel is tilted, and I added a gold strip to one side only.
A few matching sequins to finish off.

Love from me - Verve

Hello friends, its Thursday already, and my kiddos are almost done with their 1st semester exams, and the break starts tomorrow. Chinese New Year decorations are all around the city, lot of red and gold everywhere, very festive!
Today's card is made using a freebie digital set from Verve stamps, Julee has given a chance to use one of the digital set is called - Love From Me, I love the sentiments, so had to try it. You can find it here.
I printed it off, slightly big as I wanted the words to be in focus on my card.
Then used the bricks stencil from winnie&walter and inked it using distress ink - hickory smoke.
The 2 hearts are also from the same digi set, I used silver wink of stella on one, and the other tiny one, I colored in red, and then added some translucent wink of stella. A few red jewels to finish off.
That's all, it was a super quick card, and I am loving it.

Shimmery Inlaid heart

Hi friends, I am up with a simple card. I used the winnie&walter heart cutaway die here, and used the inlaid die cut technique here.
I had used a shimmery floral pattern pattern, this was sent to me by my friend, and the paper is from India.
I used a white panel, and pattern paper to diecut, and arranged the inlaid die cuts. Sentiment is also from the same company.

CNY - Cherry blossoms and lanterns

Hello blogger peeps! Hope everyone is doing great, January is flying by so quickly, at least for me. My helper isn't working with us starting this month, and I decided to take a chance to do all the work by myself, as there are only 4 of us and my kiddos are already in their teens, the house is clean all the time. BUT, it is getting to me slowly now!!!! LOL...i cannot blame anyone for this.
I am not used to do the full work all by myself, for the last 15 years. All I was doing was cooking, and other small errands.
Anyways, I find my creativity is getting lost in between all these chores, and I often find myself bit tired of the routine ;)
Sorry to take you all topic, but lets go back to the card now.

Chinese New Year is just round the corner, kiddos are in exam week, a d Friday our break starts. with the CNY mood, I made another card using the Mama Elephant - lunar wished stamps. This time I have used a white front.
I stamped and colored the cherry blossom branch and flowers using various coloring mediums.
Same for the lanterns too. The kitty is stamped on a gold card stock and fussy cut to add. The sentiment is stamped in black, and a few more scattered cherry blossoms. I added some Nuvo Gold Mousse around the edges in an uneven fashion. used a red textured base.

Snow

Happy Monday everyone!

I am up with a snow card. I used NBUS true snow paste here. It is a simple card, almost one layer.
I sponged the edges with tumbled glass distress ink, and then used a silver gel pen to 2 edges,  and then used the stencil from winnie&walter big bang and applied the true snow.
I used a snowflake die cut from Sizzix also a NBUS. The paper is a shimmery grey floral paper.
The sentiment is stamped in Su blue ink and heat embossed in clear embossing powder.
